Do I need a GP referral?
No, as a primary care practitioner Jasper can safely triage any presenting complaint. He can also refer for imaging or back to GP if your complaint requires.
What happens in my first appointment?
Jasper will ask you questions, taking notes and getting to understand you and your injury or condition. Then he will assess you physically before treating the affected area. Treatment will be tailored to the outcome of the assessment as well as your preferences.
How long is an appointment?
Initial and standard appointments are 45 minutes but there is the possibility of a shorter 30 minute or longer 60 minute appointment
What should I wear?
Comfortable/loose clothing that you can move freely in and which allows access to the affected body part (for instance if its your knee, please wear shorts)
How many sessions will I need?
Jasper does not offer fixed courses of treatment. Each patient and condition will be different and he will work collaboratively with all patients to acheive the best results.
Will I have to stop doing sport?
Full cessation of sport is only rarely required. Jasper will work with you to keep in the game.
